The injectors have been recalled as a precaution by Lincoln Medical Limited following the identification of potential problems with the speed and delivery of the adrenaline during development work. Users of the injectors and health professionals have not reported any problems as yet. However in the worst case scenario, the injector may fail to deliver adrenaline in an emergency situation.
The following injectors have been recalled:
Anapen 500 micrograms in 0.3ml solution for injection in a pre-filled syringe PL 18813/0003
Anapen 300 micrograms in 0.3ml solution for injection in a pre-filled syringe PL 18813/0001
Anapen Junior 150 micrograms in 0.3ml solution for injection in a pre-filled syringe PL 18813/0002
Anapen adrenaline injectors are used by those suffering from severe allergies and are at risk of going into anaphylactic shock. The MHRA has advised users of the injectors to continue to use their injectors but to contact their GP as soon as possible to discuss using alternative products.
If you have experienced problems with any of the above injectors, one of our experienced lawyers can provide you with advice and assistance in relation to any possible claim that you may have.
