The court can make a range of orders including:
• A Care Order is an order that makes the local authority responsible for the child.
• A Supervision Order is an order allowing the local authority to supervise, advise, assist and befriend the child.
• A Placement Order is an order authorising a local authority to place a child for adoption with prospective adopters.
• A Special Guardianship Order is an order appointing one or more individuals to be a child’s special guardian which preserves the legal link between the child and their birth family.
• An Adoption Order is an order to give parental responsibility for a child to be the adopter and permanently severs ties between a child and the birth parent.
• If the children are removed from their family, contact issues will also be dealt with and negotiated on your behalf.
