Christine qualified in 1988 and has 30 years of experience in Family Law. For the last 20 years, Christine has specialised in Care work, advising parents in cases where their children have been removed by Children’s Services or where Children’s Services are involved with the family. Christine has been a member of the SRA Children Panel since 2000 which reflects her specialist knowledge in this area of work.
Christine’s experience extends to complex High Court and Court of Appeal cases. Many of these cases have involved “Shaken Baby Syndrome” and serious/fatal brain injuries to children. In addition Christine has dealt with cases involving other serious injuries to children including bruising and fractures.
She has been referred to as “highly regarded” in The Legal 500 which is the client’s guide to the legal profession.
Christine has also developed a special interest in cases where families have been accused of being involved in terrorism and accused of radicalising their children.
In recent years Christine has dealt with cases involving Female Gender Mutilation and Transgender cases which she has found particularly rewarding when working with families.
