A High Court Judge in Cardiff has given Judgment for one of our clients who sought compensation for injuries sustained in a riding accident. Our client stated after the Hearing “I used to ride before the accident competitively at quite a high level around the country but although I have gone back to riding I cannot ride for very long because of the pain and I certainly will not be able to go back to competitive riding at the same level. Riders have to accept the responsibility to behave considerately and safely towards other riders and members of the public in parks where they simply should not ride horses”. Hywel Davies of Martyn Prowel Solicitors said after the Hearing “I am very pleased to win this case, horse riders have to understand that, like anyone else, if they are guilty of inconsiderate and negligent behaviour which causes an accident they and their employer if they are working for a riding school will be ordered to pay damages just like anyone else”.
