Fondly known as “DH” among our team, David played a pivotal role in shaping the firm we are today. In the 1970s, he partnered with Robert Davies to purchase Gartside, leading to the formation of Gartside Harding and Davies.
A dedicated lawyer and a true professional, David was a longstanding partner at Gartsides. He earned the deep respect of his clients, colleagues, and the wider Newport community – always committed, principled, and unwavering in his service.
While he was all business from 9 to 5, after hours DH was a friend to many, with countless fond memories shared over the years. Whether it was relaxing in a deck chair in the sun outside the Newport office, or donning a tie around his head with a bottle of wine in hand at the Christmas party – David brought warmth, humour, and heart to everything he did.
We extend our deepest sympathies and love to his family and loved ones during this time.
