Lucy qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and spent many years dealing with residential, commercial and agricultural property transactions and now specialises in the Administration of Estates, drafting Wills and preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney. Lucy also advises on Inheritance tax planning. Lucy lives locally in Monmouth and joined Martyn Prowel Gartsides in Abergavenny in July 2026. As a farmer’s daughter and keen equestrienne, Lucy deals with many farming and equestrian clients, as well as clients from all walks of life.
“Most people find the Administration of Estates a daunting process and I pride myself in making matters as simple and as straightforward as possible. Most people put off making a Will or addressing Lasting Powers of Attorney and I aim to make the process as easy as possible, so that clients have peace of mind that their affairs are in order.”
Outside of work Lucy enjoys riding her horse and has previously evented to international level. She is also actively involved in running the family sheep farm since her father died.
