Emma qualified from Cardiff University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Law degree and thereafter completed the Legal Practice Course with a distinction in 2016.
Since qualifying as a solicitor in January 2019 Emma has provided representation across South Wales and the South West of England to parents , grandparents, step-parents, aunts and uncles and other family members who find themselves in need of assistance in cases involving children where the Local Authority have become involved.
Emma advises in respect of all areas of Social Services involvement with a family including the Public Law Outline (PLO) process, Care Proceedings and Deprivation of Liberty matters, as well as Special Guardianship matters. Emma is an experienced Court Advocate and has dealt with a range of cases involving allegations of neglect, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse and non-accidental injury cases . Emma provides a strong level of professional support at highly emotional and difficult times for families.
In May 2022, Emma became an Accredited Member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and can now represent children through their Guardian within court proceedings.
Emma is diligent and organised and dedicated to providing accurate and realistic advice to clients in an open and honest way. She prides herself on building a trusting and safe space for clients and assists and advises on decisions which are naturally challenging and potentially life changing for those involved.
